Common Name or Meaning Leon's Angraecum [Leon Humblot - French Orchid Collector in Madagascar and the Comoros Islands 1800's]

Found in Madagascar and the Comoros Islands in forests with an important dry spell at an altitude of 200 to 1500 meters as a medium sized, hot to cool growing fan-shaped epiphyte with a short, stout stem carrying 4 to 5, distichous, narrowly ensiform, spreading, falcate, flattened, fleshy-coriaceous leaves that blooms in the spring, summer and early fall on 1 to 2, axillary, erect or suberect, stout, bracteate, shorter inflorescence arising from the second or third leaf base, with 1 to 7, fragrant, jasmine scented, long-lasting flowers.

I grow mine in a wood slat basket with fenrock as a medium, and with bright semi-direct light, frequent spring-summer waterings and a drier winter.
