- Vibrant Blooms: The flowers are usually round, thick, or waxy, measuring about 5 to 6 cm (roughly 2 inches) across. They feature rich shades of pink, red, and purple with clear stripe or zebra-like contrasts.
- Intense Fragrance: Unlike common store-bought moth orchids, this specific variety is famously aromatic. Orchid growers report that a single plant with just a few open flowers can easily fill an entire room with a fresh scent.
- Parent Lineage: This orchid is a specialized cross between two distinct parents: Phalaenopsis KS Super Zebra and Phalaenopsis Lyndon Mixture.
- Easy Bloomer: It is considered a warm-to-intermediate grower. This means it does not require a sharp drop in winter temperatures to trigger new flower spikes like standard orchids do.
- Light: Place it in bright, indirect sunlight, such as near an east-facing window. Avoid hot, direct sun which can burn its shiny green leaves.
- Temperature: Keep the room warm, ideally between 65°F and 80°F (18°C to 27°C).
- Watering: Water the plant thoroughly when the potting medium starts to dry out. It is often grown in small plastic cups filled with sphagnum moss, which holds moisture well. Wait until the moss feels barely damp before watering again.
