The cross between Aerides falcata and Aerides houlletiana is a registered primary hybrid known as Aerides Pissanu. When breeding the select alba (albescent) color forms of both parents, the offspring results in an exquisite, highly sought-after color variant that lacks the typical pink and magenta pigments found in the standard species.[1, 2]
Thesa are flowering size plants !
Expected Characteristics
  • Flower Color: Pristine white to soft cream or pale lime-yellow, completely devoid of the purple or fuchsia spots typical of the standard forms. [1, 2]
  • Fragrance: Intensely fragrant with a potent, sweet citrus or lemon-like aroma inherited from both parents. [1, 2]
  • Growth Habit: Monopodial vandaceous growth featuring thick, leathery, flat green leaves and extensive aerial root systems. [1, 2]
  • Inflorescence: Elegant, pendulous (hanging) clusters carrying numerous waxy, long-lasting flowers during the late spring and summer months. [1, 2]

Core Cultivation Needs
  • Light: High, bright indirect light (diffused morning sun or bright filtered light). Avoid harsh midday sun, which can burn their flat leaves.
  • Watering: Daily watering is essential during hot summer months, especially if grown bare-root. Allow the roots to dry rapidly between waterings to mimic their natural wet-dry cycle.
  • Potting & Housing: Best grown bare-root, mounted on plaques, or placed in slatted wooden baskets without traditional heavy potting media to maximize airflow around the roots.
  • Environment: Prefers warm to hot temperatures, high humidity (50%+), and continuous, strong air circulation.
