(often referred to within the Vanda alliance) is an intergeneric orchid hybrid first registered in 1997 by How Yee Peng. It is highly regarded by collectors for its vibrant yellow-to-chartreuse blooms, contrasting red or pink lips, and a strong, sweet fragrance.
Hybrid Lineage and Origins
The plant is an intergeneric cross between Vandachostylis Luke Thaiand Paraphalaenopsis denevei.
  • Genetic Makeup: Its ancestry includes Paraphalaenopsis denevei(50%), Rhynchostylis coelestis(25%), Vanda flabellata (13%), and Vanda denisoniana (13%).
  • Naming: The hybrid is named after a prominent Asian orchid specialist and is believed to originate from the hybridizing hubs of Thailand or Malaysia.
