Cattleya Triumphans was indeed a triumph when it first hit the scene in 1904. It was perhaps one of the best plants to produce further hybrids as it imparted tall flower stems, long-lasting flowers (due to C. rex) and good flower count. The lip remains full and round in this hybrid. As Triumphans continued to be used to create famous new hybrids, it became quite evident that this primary hybrid is one of the key building blocks of many famous and important hybrids. The flowers from the rex have a lighter yellow in them but when combined with aurea the resulting flowers exhibit a deeper yellow with fuller segments. This particular remake has produced some stunning results and we are sure you will be pleased with these plants. These have a tight growing habit and are not prone to rot like aurea is.
4,5” plants with 4,5 growths , expected flowering next season.
