, known as the Fragrant Schoenorchis, is a renowned "micro-miniature" vanda-relative native to Southeast Asia, specifically Assam (India), Thailand, Myanmar, and Vietnam. Despite its tiny size—typically under 1 inch tall—it is highly prized for its clusters of vibrant pink-to-purple flowers that emit a sweet raspberry-like scent.

  • Size: A true micro-miniature; mature plants often measure only 2.5 cm (1 inch) in height.
  • Flowers: Brilliant reddish-purple or pink blooms, about 1 cm in diameter, appear in succession during the summer.
  • Growth Habit: It is an epiphytewith thick, fleshy, oval-shaped leaves arranged in two neat rows, similar to a miniature Vanda.
  • Roots: Features distinctive warty, thick white roots that are sensitive to standing water.

Humidity Prefers high humidity levels between 60% and 80%.
Mounting Best grown mounted on cork or wood rather than potted, allowing for maximum aeration.
